Over the past few years, I have had the amazing opportunity to learn about and support the Onondaga Earth Corps (OEC), whose mission is to empower youth to be active participants in creating positive change for their communities and the environment. As a hard-working mom of three teenage boys, I completely believe in the values and skills that this organization provides to youth in Onondaga County. I have seen firsthand the amazing social AND environmental impacts of their work. But I want to do more – and I need your help.

Onondaga Earth Corps (OEC) has been a staple in the community since 2004. OEC supports the youth of Onondaga County through empowerment, and is also a source for community stewardship in the form of environmental education and outreach.

While OEC has been successful in growing capacity through partnerships, grants and fee based work, much of the infrastructure and staff time necessary to provide youth with the support they need to successfully complete our programs as well as to prepare them for future jobs or schooling is not covered by grant or fee based deliverables.
